We were able to sing in two morning services, and the people received a great blessing as well as us. We loved the places we stayed, and the people were very gracious. Being with Pastor Tom Crichton was so much fun, and the Sunday evening service went very well. We were able to meet several young people who are praying whether or not Crown would be God's will for them, and we are praying along with them. The following two days, we helped in their Vacation Bible Time, and had a blast! There were so many kids there, and the Lord blessed with good weather and several children trusting Christ. We got to help in rally time, class time, and game time. We had so much fun, and are praying that the rest of the week goes well. On Tuesday, Pastor Tom and Bro. Bob Crichton took us to see the First Baptist Church in America in Providence, RI. It was amazing and one of the most beautiful churches we have ever seen! We also went to see the statue of Roger Williams, and sang an a cappella song there. We will be praying for Pastor Crichton as he leads the church to reach the greater Providence area. Crichton's ministry in Danbury. It is so amazing to see his ministry he had there still reaching out and going forth. Pastor Shott is also a friend of Crown and sent one of his girls, Kristen, there several years ago. It was good to see her too and catch up on lost time. We had a cookout with some of the church members and the Pastor's family on Saturday and Sunday, and the food was so good! We were not planning on going to these meetings, and when Pastor Tartaglino suggested we attend with him, Bro. Crichton decided to go on Friday night and just sit in on the service. When we arrived, we were asked to sing a couple of songs, and the Lord blessed. The sermon by Bro. Norris Belcher was great and very convicting. That night, we fellowshipped with the girls' trio from New England Baptist College and had a great time. The next morning we were asked to come back and sing again in the morning combined session and we don't think the Lord has ever blessed our voices in a more amazing way. Our voices were strong and the message of the songs rang out in our hearts as well as of those listening. Praise the Lord for His mighty works! Thank you, Pastor Townsley, for the opportunity. Friday, we worked all day at the church, cleaning, organizing, and visiting. It was a profitable morning, and the Lord blessed. That evening, we were priveleged to take part in the men's steak-fry. The food was excellent, the fellowship wonderful, and afterwards, we all went to the old sanctuary and sang, fellowshipped, and listened to preaching. Bro Crichton preached a power-packed sermon that stirred our hearts to pray for revival from God. We sang, and the Lord touched the hearts of the over forty men that were there. Praise the Lord that a couple men received Christ as their Savior! </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>The next morning, we attended the Keenager's meeting. About 15-20 folks from a local assisted living home came in and had breakfast with us, as well as some fellowship. Afterwards, we sang to them and Bro. Crichton gave a challenge. It was so encouraging to see them there, and to see them praising the Lord in the golden years of their lives. Praise the Lord for faithful Christians. Thank you Pastor for your kindness, and for the wonderful lunch with you and your wife by the shore at Beaver Tail. The day was beautiful, the ocean was refreshing, and food was amazing. Last year, when the men's group came to this church, they were building a new facility in which to meet. This year, they have moved forward tremendously, and the building was beautiful. Pastor Ludka and his family were a grea encouragement to us and the people were very gracious. We are very excited to hear that Sarah, a young lady in the church, will be joining us at Crown next semester. I'm astounded even at how the design and color and layout of the building itself stood out in the community where it sat. Even more to my surprise was the willingness to serve that the people had. Not only was the meeting great, but afterwards, we had a time of prayer in small groups. I got to pray with two gentlemen who, I realized while listening to them, have a great burden for their community and an amazing aptitude for close and loving prayer with their God. This school has clearly been blessed by the Lord. Having been there for about twenty-two years, it still stands strong in Christian education for young people. When we arrived, the students were having their lunch in the gymnasium where were setting up. Therefore, they got to hear us warm up and do our sound check. Halfway through the song, they began to clap to the beat. I wondered what the big deal was until Bro. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Netz</span>, while introducing us, told the students that our music style was a little "southern gospel." Then I remembered that we were in the North now, and that's not what they are used to. They loved it anyway, the video received great reception. Bro. Crichton delivered another convicting challenge to them and I can only pray that they remember it during this summer. When we first walked in the building, I saw that there were windows all along the walls, and I thought how difficult it would be to see the video we had brought to show them. Then it occurred to me that those windows were such a blessing. The church is not closed off from the rest of the world, and they are able to look out from inside and see the world they are to evangelize for Christ. We met a great Christian family with young people who are praying for God's will, and have considered Crown.
